TrinityRail recently attended the National Railway Day Conference 2019 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Hosted by CARS, this 3-day industry event (November 5 – 7, 2019) was the first time since its inception in 2014 that there was a trade show component, where attendees had the opportunity to profile their goods and services.

The theme for the 2019 conference was “Bringing Forth Awareness Diversities – Industry Responsibility & Accountability”. CARS states that it is their “responsibility as an industry to ensure that we continue to take action and educate our employees on the several areas of awareness whether it is culture, gender, safety or even proper employee training.” The conference provided a forum to hear from industry leaders and discuss the future of rail.

The final day of this year’s event, November 7, marked the 134th year that the last spike was driven into the Canadian Pacific Railways (CPR) at Craigellachie. From that moment, according to CARS, Canada has been united and rail has become one of the most important and valuable modes of transportation while delivering people and goods safely and efficiently.

TrinityRail is proud to continue its involvement with CARS and the National Railway Day Conference. As North America’s premier provider of railcar solutions, we are dedicated to bringing these solutions to the Canadian railways. We look forward to furthering our commitment to CARS in 2020.
