HOW TRINSIGHT WORKS
Trinsight utilizes secure, cloud-based GPS technology to track the exact location of railcars, in real time, from origin to destination. Acting as a digital twin for the North American rail network, Trinsight analyzes 1,000 sensor observations per second and converts this data into actionable insights delivered via a user-friendly, completely configurable rail management services dashboard. In addition to railcar tracking, the platform can document shipment status and shipment cost, and can be used to simulate your supply chain to model opportunities for optimization.
The Trinsight platform is supported by RSI Logistics, a TrinityRail company. Through RSI Logistics, TrinityRail is able to deliver tech-enabled capabilities like railcar tracking and management and dynamic management services covering rates, shipments, fleet utilization, demurrage, freight audits, terminal operations, and more. Beyond Trinsight, our fleet of best-in class-solutions includes yard management software and data-as-a-service. These innovations help protect your freight, optimize your fleet with GPS sensors, and better maximize your working capital.
These GPS sensors are attached without damaging the railcar and every sensor is monitored by the TrinityRail Trinsight team to ensure connectivity. With advanced railcar tracking, a railcar stopped for more than 30 minutes will provide a ping once per day until movement begins again. All firmware updates are handled by the Trinsight team, as well.

YARD MANAGEMENT
Trinsight monitors railcars within any type of railyard, from the time they enter until the time they depart. Using a diversity of sensors, the platform monitors the lifecycle of each railcar across stages like arrival, inspection, cleaning, repair, loading, billing and departure. The data collected within the yard is then used to analyze operational efficiency, yard cycle times and bottlenecks, which can then power demurrage calculations and other fees like switching and cleaning.
DATAVERSE
The rail management platform allows users to quickly and easily visualize last location, dwell by location, cycle time and network performance analysis. These custom reports are visual, real-time and historical and can be set to run daily, weekly or as specific alert events occur. Users can easily filter, change, research and investigate all data based on specific operational activities or business units.
