ABOUT THIS RAILCAR
This pressure differential car uses air pressure, pipes, and valves for unloading. The air pressure aerates and fluidizes the commodity, resulting in a controlled and contamination-free unloading process.
TrinityRail® is a leading supplier of covered hoppers including the 5,660 cubic foot pressure differential covered hopper for the efficient shipment of free-flowing products. The curved edges and sleek interior facilitate preparation for the food grade interior lining. The open barrel construction helps with loading the product, improves the fill density, and simplifies cleaning and inspection.

Pressure Relief System
This car has pressure relief valves that adjust themselves and a blow-down valve that works from the ground. These valves make the operation more efficient and reduce the need for maintenance.

Air Inlet and Product Discharge
The product discharge swing “Y” piping is located near the car’s center for the operator’s convenience. With this Swing “Y”, it can be offloaded to either side.
