The 5,459 cubic foot covered hopper has a reduced car length and optimized volume, allowing for unit train movements with more cars, equaling more product per equivalent train length.

CORRUGATED SIDE CONSTRUCTION
First produced by TrinityRail in 2005, the corrugated side construction helps maximize capacity while maintaining structural integrity. This, in combination with an optimized cross section, results in increased commodity shipped per railcar.
