FEATURES

Longitudinal Gate Design

A field proven, proprietary and easily adjustable TrinityRail® longitudinal door system featuring a pair of pneumatically operated doors.

Reduced Car Length and Increased Volume

Enhanced efficiencies for unit train movements with more cars equaling more product per equivalent train length.

Enhanced Load Limit

Shorter length reduces weight. Payload of 223,800 pounds at 286,000 pound gross rail load contributes to better carload freight economics.

Through Center Sill

Lightweight design provides high structural integrity, lower weight, and allows better operation of outlet gates than stub sill designs.

High Side Sill

Through-sill construction allows high placement of the side sill, allowing unloading personnel easier access to outlet gates and vibrator brackets.

Plate Draft Sill

Incorporates short overhang draft sill arrangement for improved management of buff and draft forces.

Proven Underframe Design

Steel underframe is engineered for strength and durability over the life of the car.

Round Side Design

Promotes better loading efficiency. Allows for maximum use of available cubic capacity and ease of lining application, if required.

Round Roof

Improved structural integrity. Helps roof shed water and snow for safer access to top of car.

Hopper Slopes

Steep outside hopper slopes and valley angles enhance product flow and promote full cleanout of car.

Low Profile Hatch Covers

Four aluminum, FRP or composite low profile, covers per car for increased capacity.

Vibrator Brackets

Hoppers can be equipped with brackets to permit vibration to car when necessary. Pad and bracket construction protects the car from fatigue damage and helps minimize maintenance costs.
