ABOUT THIS RAILCAR
Pressure differential cars use air pressure, pipes and valves for unloading. The air pressure aerates and fluidizes the commodity, resulting in a controlled unloading process.
TrinityRail® is a leading supplier of covered hoppers including a 3,230 cubic foot pressure differential covered hopper for the efficient shipment of cement or other free-flowing dry bulk products. The car’s open barrel design makes it easy to load and unload goods, enhances fill density, and simplifies cleaning and inspection. A variety of materials are available for product discharge lines to accommodate different products and services.

Pressure Relief System
This car has pressure relief valves that reset automatically and a blow-down valve that is operable from the ground. These valves make the operation more efficient and reduce the need for maintenance.
Closed-Loop Unloading System
Maintains product purity.
Air Inlet and Product Discharge
The product discharge swing “Y” piping is located near the car’s center for the operator’s convenience. With this Swing “Y”, it can be offloaded to either side.
Loading Hatches
Three 20″ loading hatches enable quick and efficient loading.

Available in aluminum, carbon, or stainless steel to accommodate a variety of products and services.
